Over the past decade many of its magnificent monasteries, abbeys and convents have been renovated and restored into captivating hotel type accommodations for the general public. With some of them dating back 900 years they now welcome travellers of all faiths in comfortable surroundings – often in the best possible locations. Inside you will find frescoed ceilings and many still original artifacts from times gone by.
These special places are found only in Italy and still stand as a testament to the artistry and creativity of so many ancient masters of the building trades.
