8 DAYS ~ ENGLAND

DAY 1 – DEPART CANADA. Overnight flight.

DAY 2 – ARRIVE LONDON. After checking into the tour hotel, the rest of the day is yours to relax, shop or explore. In the evening you are invited to an informative meeting and Welcome Drink with your Insight local host.

DAY 3 – LONDON SIGHTSEEING. On your half day sightseeing tour, stop at Parliament Square for a guided walk to see Westminster Abbey and Big Ben. Continue past Downing Street to Trafalgar Square. Another guided walk takes you down The Mall, to see the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace. Lastly, drive past Green Park to finish in the heart of the West End. The rest of the day is yours to explore at your own pace. (B)

DAY 4 – LEEDS CASTLE & CANTERBURY. Head out into the Kent countryside to visit Leeds Castle, rising like a jewel from its own lake. Next, depart for Canterbury Cathedral where Thomas a Becket was murdered in 1170. Then see Dover Castle, overlooking the English Channel and the famous White Cliffs of Dover. Finally, continue to Greenwich to join a Thames cruise back to the centre of London. (B)

DAY 5 – LONDON AT LEISURE. The day is yours to explore London’s parks, museums and art galleries. Once night falls, consider taking in a show in London’s famous West End. (B)

DAY 6 – WINCHESTER, STONEHENGE & BATH. Drive west to Winchester, with it’s 11th century Cathedral. Then visit the monoliths of Stonehenge, reputed to be over 4,000 years old. Continue to the city of Bath. Sightseeing includes a visit to the Roman Baths and Pump Room, and a panoramic coach and walking tour of the fine Georgian buildings. (B)

DAY 7 – LONDON AT LEISURE. Explore the city at your own pace. Contact us for suggestions on additional London sightseeing. If shopping is your thing, try Harrods, or the department stores of Oxford Street. (B)

DAY 8 – RETURN TO CANADA. Your tour ends after breakfast. (B)
