After breakfast a half day guided tour of Venice “Queen of the Adriatic” with it’s  palaces, quaint canals, and bridges. All the main points to be visited are within easy walking distance of St. Mark’s Square and the Doge’s Palace which are included in the tour.

After breakfast depart by rail for the approximately three hour journey to Florence.  Accommodation in Florence in the Hotel Albion, originally the 19th century Palazzo Villa built in neo-Gothic style which is right in the centre of Florence near the Old Town and the station.

Breakfast, then join the half-day guided tour in Florence including the Duomo with Giotto’s Bell Tower, and a visit to the Accademia Gallery which houses the Statue of David by Michelangelo.

A full day sightseeing tour through the Chianti Hills with their vineyards first to medieval Siena where there will be exploration of the old town, then in the afternoon to San Gimignano famed for it’s numerous towers. Return in the latter afternoon to Florence.

The morning will be free, and in the afternoon a further rail journey of some two hours to Rome. Accommodation in Rome at the Hotel Modigliani, a little boutique hotel situated in possibly the most desirable area of Rome near the Spanish Steps and Via Veneto.

After breakfast a morning tour of Ancient Rome viewing the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine, Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, and the Circus Maximus.
