Overview

This unique tour begins with three nights in Rome to recover from any jetlag, explore on your own after a guided walking tour of the historical centre before joining our escorted group. You will travel by coach into the Tuscan hills for a stay of four nights at the Villa Pitiana. Not far from Florence the Villa Pitiana is the very essence of the character of Tuscany.  More like a mansion with the character of a castle than a villa, it dates back in part  to a 13th century building,  and has in turn been a convent, and a farm.  Included is a Chianti tour with wine-tasting, and a sightseeing visit to Florence with a Skip the Line visit to the Academy of Fine Arts, also there is the possibility of an optional Cooking Class at the villa.  Return to Rome for a one night stay with sightseeing including the Skip the Line visit to the Coliseum and Roman Forum.

Please note that Italy is a mostly mountainous and hilly country, therefore, these tours involve walking up and down steps and , in some cases, also steep slopes.

All departures guaranteed.
