Dive into two incredible cultures with this adventure on the rails. Explore the Spanish countryside by train, journeying with the locals from Barcelona to Madrid to Seville and beyond, sampling the exotic side of this gorgeous country (and tasting food you’ll crave for the rest of your life). Spend a week in Spain before crossing the Strait of Gibraltar for another week to get to know the main highlights of Morocco, like Fès, Casablanca, and Marrakech, (as well as their souqs, mint tea and friendly locals). Grab yourself an experience you’ll talk about forever.

Arrive at any time.
Day 2Barcelona/Madrid
Enjoy a short orientation walk around Barcelona with a free morning to explore. Opt to check out the world-famous museums, do some shopping or enjoy some fantastic food. In the afternoon, catch a train to Madrid.

Spend the day in this cosmopolitan city. Opt to visit the Museo del Prado, the Gran Vía or Plaza Mayor.

Spend another morning exploring the city before catching a midday train to Granada.

Day 5Granada
Arrive in the morning and head out to visit the famous Alhambra. In the evening, opt to go for a stroll and check out the local tapas and wine bars.

Spend another day exploring this charming city.

Day 7Granada/Seville
Take a morning train to nearby Seville. Spend a day enjoying this city and its Moorish influence. Opt to explore the district of Santa Cruz, the Alcázar Palace or the world’s largest Gothic cathedral.

Day 8Seville/Chefchaouen
It’s a full day of travel to reach the mysterious blue village high in the Rif Mountains. Cross from Europe to Africa by ferry then continue on travelling to Chefchaouen.

Day 9Chefchaouen/Fès
Travel to the imperial city of Meknes and enjoy lunch at the G Adventures-supported women’s project. Later, continue to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis before continuing on to Fes.

Explore the labyrinth of streets within the famous Fès medina with a local guide. Marvel at one of the ancient tanneries and take in the view from above.

Travel by train to seaside Casablanca known for its colonial and art-deco buildings.

Visit the spectacular Hassan II mosque and learn more about this masterpiece. Catch the train to Marrakech in time to start exploring the city.

Enjoy a medina tour with a certified city guide. Opt to visit Djemaa el Fna Square in the evening to see the gathering of musicians and street performers.
